History

ICOS Company was established in 1991 as a company with foreign investment. Its goal is to provide comprehensive solutions in the field of information technologies. The company offers integrated solutions to its customers from analyses and projects, via development and implementation for particular conditions, trainings up to the operation and service throughout the whole life cycle of the system. The dynamic organizational structure of the company is adjusted to this goal. ICOS employs more than 60 specialists.

The first substantial milestone in the history of the company was development and successful implementation of Production Information and Control System and data warehouse system in the field of production for Východoslovenské železiarne Košice a.s. – today’s U. S. Steel Košice, s.r.o. ICOS has been participating in support and operation of these systems since.

An important step company took was its focusing on standard company information systems (ERP systems) introduction. ICOS Company has successfully passed certification process of Microsoft Company and obtained Microsoft Certified Partner status for Microsoft Business Solutions – Navision, today’s Microsoft Dynamics NAV. In order to give ICOS’s customers the possibility to choose the company offers and implements Oracle E-Business Suite solutions in the field of ERP systems as a Oracle Partner.

ICOS has expanded their activities also in the area of complex building solutions. The company offers electric fire-alarm systems (EPS), evacuation announcement system (ER), electric security alarm systems (EZS), security camera systems (CCTV) and access control systems. ICOS was also successful in the area of communication solutions application.

As for the international cooperation the company has expanded their activities via supporting development and service of the information system, which was tailored by Steel Enterprise Management Systems®(SEMS), a Canadian Company in Toronto.

ISO certificate from SGS Slovakia spol. s r.o. Company proves that the quality system of ICOS Company is in accordance with requirements of ISO 9001:2000a quality management systems standard.
