Company information systems ERP (Enterprise resource planning) are designed for small, medium as well as large businesses. They are used for leadership, management, accountants, buyers, administrators and for everybody, who is actively involved in the process of company’s resources planning and usage. Thanks to their functionality they cover and automate processes from financial field up to the area of production. ERP systems are built on the basis of 2 - 3 layer client-server architecture, or on the basis of thin client using internet browser. Their implementation will clarify and reduce company operating costs, increase quality of decision-making process and support automation of processes.

Financial Management (FM)

FM MODUL is a tool of adjusting to changeable company environment and fast access to strategic financial information. The system will enable the following:

  • Centralizing company accounting information via their integration with the information in the field of marketing, production and sales;
  • Getting quick overview of the state of the organization using dimensions defined (Regions, centres, groups);
  • Making important and effective decisions in the area of company management using integrated financial analytical tools;
  • Adjusting to domestic and European legislation and competitiveness overreaching the country boarders.

Supplier chain management (SCM)

The solution will enable to adjust the organization to challenges of the changing market. The simple, practical and flexible solution will enable the following:

  • Rapid change of capacity plans and production policy via agile production and distribution activity;
  • Reacting on changes of customers’ requirements via rapid change of rules of warehouse work (Re-pricing or method of delivery from warehouse);
  • Monitoring the whole process of production from orders planning via monitoring work in progress up to sales and delivery from warehouse;
  • Monitoring costs, maintaining effectiveness of operations and maximizing profit.

e-Business

Trading via internet is becoming a common part of our lives. ICOS offers a solution, which enables rapid, simple and effective method of automation of company processes in the environment of e-Commerce technology. Electronic trading via internet offers:

  • Simplification of communication with key customers and suppliers using full automation of purchasing and sales;
  • Trading from any place in the world – continuously 24 hours a day;
  • Managing goods catalogues (entering orders, specifying method of delivery) for suppliers and salesmen via personal web portals;
  • Ordering goods in real time for Business - To - Business (B2B) or Business - To - Consumer (B2C) customers on the basis of an on-line product catalogue.

Production management and planning

Applications for production management and planning allow prepare, plan for, manage, and control all processes for various types of manufacturing:

  • discrete manufacturing (piece or batch production, mass production)
  • process manufacturing
  • project manufacturing

For special requirements the manufacturing resources planning applications support advanced planning and scheduling according to restrictions, applications for Lean Manufacturing and Shop Floor Planning with strong support of lot and serial numbers control; as well as comprehensive manufacturing and quality control using mobile devices and barcodes.

Discrete manufacturing application provides features for overal production process support starting with manufacturing documentations and revisions (production technical planning - catalogs, BOM, technological operations, production resources and capacities, engineering design, revision prcedures, discrepancies), through management of pre-production and production calculations and costs, production and capacity planning (MRPII, Kanban, Seiban, APS, semi-finished production accumulation and optimisation, marking etc.) in short-, medium-, and long-terms; production plan detailed scheduling and optimisation (production order/schedule according to finite/infinite capacities, cooperation management, assembly and semi-finished product control, repair and services orders etc.); to comprehensive production and quality data control (consumption of material and resources, operation and production completion confirmation, fault report, quality control - input, inter-operation and check-out, variance and corrective action, etc.)

Customer relations management (CRM)

The solution combines critical company information with sales, marketing and customer data and enables:

  • Focusing on the most profitable customers, offering them the high-quality services and effective tools for sales and marketing;
  • Profiling contacts in such a way that various segments can be created; this helps to direct planned marketing and sales campaigns more effectively;
  • Creating personal profiles for each customer with the objective of fully adjusting services to their own needs and requirements;
  • Improving quality of company information exchange so that the customer gets higher-quality services with substantially higher profit.

Payrolls and human resources management

ICOS solution represents experiences of human resources management directors and employees of personnel and payroll departments of many enterprises, organizations and companies. It covers several years of experience with solution development, implementation and maintenance for human resources management and payrolls.
It enables:

  • Monitoring data records in their time sequence;
  • Retrogressive valorisation of wages and salaries, modification of wages and salaries retroactively, planning pay rises, planning employment, print of retroactive reports, entering values in the future;
  • Above-standard number of final reports;
  • They are fully in accordance with the legislation of Slovak Republic.


REFERENCES of selected projects

1., OMNITRADE, a.s. ; NAVISION 3.70. implementation
Because of development in information technologies MAGIC information system became outdated gradually and company OMNITRADE, a.s. decided to replace it by more up-to-date technologies. Firstly finances were implemented in Navision Financial 2.60 product. Secondly the upgrade of Microsoft Business Solutions – Navision 3.70 system was implemented with functions of inventory modules, CRM and hotel booking system added.

2., HERMAN Slovakia, s.r.o. ; NAVISION 3.60. implementation
Prior to Microsoft Business Solutions – Navision information system introduction HERMAN company was using several individual applications. Even thought these systems combined requirements of users, their maintenance was more and more demanding. Moreover, the old system was a limiting factor for the company rate of growth from technological point of view. The result of the mutual effort of both the supplier and the user was a successful application of Navision system modules: CRM, finance, service, sales, purchasing and inventory control.

3., BE Group Slovakia, s.r.o. ; Dynamics NAV 4.0. implementation
Formation of a new branch of BE Group in Slovakia required new information system implementation. In terms of essential synchronization of data with their mother company in Sweden, the branch decided for the solution with the same technology as that of their mother company. The solution is fit for Slovakia and combines all the requirements for communication with the mother company. The solution includes the functionality in the following scope: CRM, finance, sales, purchasing, and inventory control.

4., METALEX a.s. - Oracle E-business Suite 11i implementation
Metalex, a.s. Company was established in 1999. The company’s main business activity is processing and sales of metallurgical material. Metalex, a.s. is a member of Montan Voss Group GmbH and as such it carries out its activities mainly on Slovak market. For this purpose there was a chain of inventory capacities offering a complex assortment of the company’s products established throughout Slovakia and these are able to provide the required service of metallurgical materials delivery. In order to increase the quality of services and to extend their offer, the company established a service centre in Brezno equipped with production technologies for steel coils shearing and slitting. Prior to the new system implementation the company was using various applications for accounting, logistics and production. The implementation of the new system will bring integration of production, logistics and finance in all its branches in Slovakia.

5., PROFIL s.r.o. – Complex information system implementation Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0
PROFIL s.r.o. Company decided to change their company information infrastructure completely, from technical security via application and server environment upgrade up to introduction of a complex company information system, which combines all company processes in one database and enables all the employees to work together achieving substantial working time saving. At the same time the information system provides interconnection with production data and their mutual communication.

6., SEC spol. s r.o. – Oracle EBS
Company SEC s.r.o. was incorporated in 1992 with intent to produce quality light fittings. At present SEC belongs to European major light fitting producers exporting of 95% of the turnover. The fact that the major part of the export is distributed to EU countries as a witness of the high quality and customer satisfaction.

7., QBE Insurance (Europe) Limited – Oracle EBS
QBE Insurance (Europe) Limited, Slovak Republic subsidiary is a member of the international insurance and funding gruop QBE Group registered in Australia, established in 1886. QBE group operates in 45 countries and emploeys ca 13000 employees. It belongs to top 25 insurance and funding companies in the world.
QBE provide to its customers the stability, guarantee and financial ability for indemnity which acknowledges Standard & Poor's Insurance Rating at level A+.
